Yogendra Singh Yadav is an Indian social scientist , election analyst . Yogendra has also been a senior research fellow at the Delhi - based CSDS . Yogendra was an Aam Aadmi Party politician until 2015 , and when he was expelled from the Aam Aadmi Party in 2015, he founded the Swaraj Abhiyan organization with Prashant Bhushan. Of Swaraj Abhiyan is doing a lot of work on the serious problem of Indian farmers.
Yogendra's childhood was spent in Rewari village of Haryana. Yogendra's father was Devendra Singh Yadav. Devendra Yadav's father was also a teacher and died in a communal riot in 1936. Devendra was only 7 years old then. Yogendra Yadav's family members and some of his close friends call him Salim. Yogendra Yadav's father, Devendra Singh Yadav, was a professor of economics at the college. According to him, Yogendra was greatly influenced by the socialist leader Kishan Patnaik and it was not a surprise that Yogendra moved from academic life to politics.
Along with Prashant Bhushan , Anand Kumar (sociologist) and Ajit Jha, Yadav formed a new political organization called Swaraj India . Yogendra Yadav urged the voters of Delhi to choose NOTA in the Indian general election, 2019 as none of the political parties in Delhi have fulfilled their promises. He termed NOTA as "No Till Alternative".
In 2022, Yogendra Yadav joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi and described the Yatra as a Dakshinayan movement of India, where influences from the South are taken to the North.
